41.78 carats and a price tag of millions: the world’s largest cushion-cut diamond ring

April 13, 2016: British jeweler, Hancocks, has created the world’s largest diamond crossover ring.

Coiling around the finger, the ring boasts a pair of two 20-carat cushion-cut diamonds, which according to the label are the finest match of gemstones of this size in the market today. Their rare sameness  stems from the fact that they have been cut from a single piece of rough diamond.

The breath-taking ornament is part of the Unum collection of designer Amy Burton, who collaborated with Hancock’s master craftsmen for over a year to fashion the ultimate showstopper.

The ring goes on sale later in April, when, for the whopping £1.6 million (around $2.3 million), it will escape the watchful gaze of its security guard to grace the hand of one extremely lucky lady.
