March 1, 2019: The Autumn Winter 2019 collection, Peak Outlook, is Bally’s celebration of Swiss heritage and the mountains. The Mountain Peak motif, taken from a 1955 Bally logo, becomes a zigzag shoe welt and appears graphically across ready-to-wear and accessories.
With this collection, Bally recalls the sporty outdoor lifestyle of the 1990’s and memories of winter weekend escapes with friends.
A vintage 1930’s expedition map is restored in silk jacquard and ink-printed leather. Hiking boots are inspired by Bally’s 1930s and 40s archive. While the Hady presents a fashion-forward take on the traditional hiking boot (inspired by a 1943 archive model), the Hanni reflects a 1930’s hiking style with crochet laces, at home on city streets or groomed mountain trails. The hybrid Biasa sneaker boot with neoprene sock and eyelets make for a stylish yet practical message. The ready-to-wear witnesses chunky knit cardigans and scarfs are scattered with nostalgic Swiss motifs. The womenswear collection also includes the bags Harryet and Cecyle.
Menswear, on the other hand, is about the architect of leather. Dynamic outerwear makes a statement with a buttery, angular cape and an oversized blouson jacket worn over a slim zip hoodie and sporty cargo trousers. A 1970s Bally Polar logo is a feature on caps and sweatshirts. The Maloja boots features Wet Ice Technology soles by Vibram and ground the shoe message for men alongside the Zermatt and Lyskamm themes. The Mountain Peak motif also features fur trims and shearling accents. Sporty hiking sneakers and curling boots complete the collection. The menswear has bags Hawke, High Point and Elevate.
The collection is led by colour, and draws inspiration from the portrait work of Norwegian photographer, Jarle Hagen.
