March 20, 2019: For the very first time, Lamborghini Day was celebrated in Jaipur, India from February 23 to 24, to commemorate Lamborghini’s leadership in the super luxury car segment. Being present in the country for 10 years now, Lamborghini has sold 200 cars in the country over the past decade.
The event was attended by Lamborghini’s customers as well as the global leadership team. Mr. Stefano Domenicali, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, said, “We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with the growing number of super car enthusiasts in India through Lamborghini Day. It has been a very exciting journey over the last decade for Lamborghini and during the last 2 to 3 years the super luxury segment in India has witnessed very encouraging and exciting trends. In India, while the market is relatively small, in terms of consumer preferences it is as evolved as any other part of the world. The luxury customer is used to bespoke experiences and no one can offer this better than Lamborghini… From being the leader in the super sports car segment, to now leading the entire super luxury segment, Lamborghini has consistently grown in India and we will continue to exert our leadership in the coming years.”
To enhance the celebratory spirit, Lamborghini hosted a drive through the streets of Jaipur. Lamborghini has had many firsts in India over the decade. In 2016, the first Women’s Drive was held in Delhi; India was one of the few markets where Lamborghini Urus was first launched; and GIRO brought together like-minded Lamborghini owners for a driving experience of their Lamborghini in some of the most beautiful parts of the India.
