Tiffany & Co. reinvents its New York flagship store, announces actor Ranveer Singh as a friend of the house

The Landmark, the brand’s new flagship shop, is open to public following three years of substantial renovations and a grand opening event.

The revamped stunning facade of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store on 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City was finally unveiled this April. Since 1940, this lively New York shop has delivered the brand’s trademark designs and savoir-faire legacy. For the first time, the shop underwent a transformation morphing into a flawless atmosphere that keeps the brand’s distinctive timelessness.

Now called The Landmark, the storied space has been transformed by fashion brand’s favorite architect, Peter Marino, while OMA New York, led by the renowned Shohei Shigematsu, oversaw the renovation of the building’s core and circulation infrastructure, as well as the addition of the new three-story volume above the existing building.

Focusing on the combination of legacy and modern designs, the redesigned exterior, with its iconic Atlas statue and clock above the revolving doors, welcomes visitors inside Manhattan’s largest store. Inside, a distinctive skylight design illuminates the vast space that houses the jewelry cases.

Honoring the brand’s age-old expertise as the purveyor of the world’s finest diamonds, the multi-faceted ceiling installation extends almost the whole length of the space. The designer used wood parquet flooring throughout the structure, as a nod to the old shop interior, in a dynamic conversation between the past and the future.

Integrated throughout the Landmark’s 10 floors are nearly 40 artworks, including never-before-seen Tiffany-commissioned pieces. The curation features works by renowned artists including Damien Hirst, Julian Schnabel, Rashid Johnson, Anna Weyant and Daniel Arsham.

Visitors on the ground floor are immersed in renowned New York City scenery thanks to the video walls that, when turned on, reflect panoramic vistas of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, and when turned off, act as mirrors.

The heart of the store features a sculptural spiral staircase with undulating transparent balustrades adorned with rock crystal, inspired by, and reflecting the organic designs of one of Tiffany & Co.’s most iconic designers – Elsa Peretti.

The store will exhibit its high jewelry line which will feature a new design for the famed 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond, in a spectacular celebration of the old meeting the new. In addition to stunning diamond watches and limited-edition home goods, the line up will include eyewear inspired by the Tiffany® Setting engagement ring.

The complex also houses a museum and exhibition space and its famed Blue Box Cafe by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud. The new dining area and bar include compelling artworks on display.

Celebrating the opening of the store, which is LVMH’s most expensive single-brand store ever built, Tiffany & Co. hosted stars and celebrities for a gala night. The exclusive party saw a headlining performance by American singer-songwriter Katy Perry. Notable guests included Jimin of BTS, Gal Gadot, Hailey Bieber, Pharrell, Anya Taylor-Joy, Florence Pugh, Zoë Kravitz, Blake Lively, Michael B. Jordan, Jeff Koons, Peter Marino, Shohei Shigematsu, Marc Jacobs, Martha Stewart, Eva Chen, Jungjae Lee, Mark Wahlberg, Mayor Eric Adams and many more.

Indian actor Ranveer Singh, who joined this illustrious crowd, was also announced as a friend of Tiffany & Co. during the event. Donned a white suit and adorned with Tiffany & Co. jewels, we can’t wait to see the actor as a Tiffany ambassador.
