June 29, 2017: Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, Australia, is dishing foodies with a fine dining palette in its series of culinary escapes between July and September.
These weekend events follow a specific theme, and bring together world-class chefs and wine connoisseurs alike.
The first event begins with an Epicurean Escape with the Bentley Boys running Friday, 28 and Saturday, 29 July. Chef Nancy Kinchela along with the Bentley Boys invite guests to a weekend of culinary indulgence.
Guests will have the opportunity to sample cuisine created by 2015 Good Food Guide Chef of the Year, Brent Savage, paired with wines selected by award-winning Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt. The next event is Wine and Dine with Gaia Gaja on Saturday, 6 August, allowing guests the opportunity to gain a unique insight into the art of winemaking directly from Gaia herself, while indulging in a truffle-inspired degustation dinner, prepared by the resort’s team.
Following this will be a Waterford Whisky Weekend on Friday, 18 and Saturday, 19 August. Rounding out these specials is The Ultimate Australian Experience on Friday, 1 and Saturday, 2 September. Guests will experience a quintessentially Australian Father’s Day weekend of Australian experiences, including horseback riding around the reserve and sampling local cuisine in a unique collaboration between the resort’s culinary brigade and visiting Guest Chef, Lennox Hastie from Sydney’s Firedoor in Surry Hills.
