October 26, 2010 – Luxury timekeeper A. Lange & Sohne, based in Glashutte, Germany, is set to welcome Wilhelm Schmid as the new CEO from January 1, 2011. The 47 year old German national has spent the last eight years working in marketing and sales at BMW.
Since 2007, he has been responsible for the Bavarian automobile company’s South African sales and marketing operations. As CEO, Schmid’s task will constitute furthering A. Lange & Sohne and the company Lange Uhren GMBH.
