Aberlour Single Malt Whisky debuts in India
December 4, 2014: Pernod Ricard India has launched Aberlour, one of its most awarded Single Malt Whisky, in the country. The launch entails the introduction of the entire range – Aberlour 12 YO, 16YO and 18 YO, exclusively available in duty free stores of Mumbai and Delhi. 
 
The expert crafting of spirit and cask has created a range of superlative single malt whiskies with layers of complexity and velvet richness. Aberlour distillery produces a spirit of exceptional quality, boasting characteristics that are clean, crisp and fruity with striking depth. 
 
Aberlour is one of the most consistently awarded single malt whiskies, with experts the world over recognizing the exceptional quality of the Aberlour range. In 1990, Aberlour became the first single malt whisky ever to win the Gold Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition twice (and has won Gold Medals a further 13 times in that competition in the last 10 years alone). 
 
Aberlour 12 Year Old is a smooth, fruity dram with citrus character complemented by the use of ex-sherry casks. The 16 Year Old, double matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, is slightly creamier and richer, with a more velvety mouth-feel. The 18 Year Old is the finest of the three – gentle, soft and fruity on the nose, and wonderfully rich and spicy on the palate, this is a dram that should be savoured slowly without ice or water.
 
Whisky lovers in India can look out for all three at duty free stores of Mumbai and Delhi Airport at a price range of $53 – $111.
