May 31, 2016: The Legacy Machine No. 1 (LM1) Silberstein by MB&F has been completely transformed by French designer Alain Silberstein, in yet another collaboration.
The LM1 Silberstein stands out among others due to its advanced design and style. For example, the LM1 Silberstein's dual sundials are now concave. The concept of “Eternal time” is converted into civilian time by the flying balance wheel—suspended by an almost invisible bridge in sapphire crystal. Engraved in French on the case band between the lugs of LM1 Silberstein is a paraphrased quote from Gustave Flaubert: “Le vrai bonheur est d’avoir sa passion pour métier” (True happiness is to have one’s passion as a profession).
Last but not least, the power reserve of the frosted-finish movement is indicated by a signature Silberstein sculpture: yellow sphere, red cube and blue pyramid.
The LM1 Silberstein is available in grade 5 titanium, black PVD titanium or 18K red gold – each a limited edition of only 12 pieces.
