Aston Martin welcomes transformation as Adrian Hallmark takes the helm as CEO

Adrian Hallmark is a seasoned automotive industry expert who has held significant leadership roles on various corporate boards in Asia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Following the global debut of its all-new Vantage model last month, Aston Martin is undergoing a significant transition. The 77-year-old Amedeo Felisa, who has been serving as the CEO of the British company, will step down from his position by October 1, marking the end of an era. The brand has announced that Adrian Hallmark will succeed Mr. Felisa as CEO.

Mr. Hallmark brings a wealth of experience, having served as Bentley’s chief sales officer from 1999 to 2005. Talking about his new role, Mr. Hallmark noted, “Like many working within the ultra-luxury segment, I have admired the continued transformation of Aston Martin’s brand and products from afar and feel honored to have the opportunity to work with Lawrence [S. Stroll – Executive Chairman of Aston Martin], the Board, and the Company’s employees to lead its next chapter.”

His impressive portfolio includes leadership roles in various automotive companies across Asia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. After his tenure at Bentley, the 61-year-old contributed his expertise to the Jaguar Motor Company (JLR) before returning to Bentley as CEO in 2018.

With over 25 years of senior automotive experience, including stints at prestigious brands like Porsche and Volkswagen, Mr. Hallmark is well-positioned to lead Aston Martin into its next chapter of success.

Meanwhile, Mr. Felisa will continue to guide the company until Mr. Hallmark assumes his new role, overseeing the launch of Aston Martin’s highly anticipated new products, including its third next-generation sports car, which will complete its new front-engine portfolio alongside the successful DB12 and Vantage models.

There has been much drama at thus British marquee in the recent years. With sudden and quick exits of Andy Palmer and Tobias Moers, leading to a short stint by Mr. Felisa, this transition might mark a pivotal moment for Aston Martin as it continues to innovate and captivate automotive enthusiasts worldwide.
