Brioni takes inspiration from David Hockney for Spring 2011

The colours of the paintings of David Hockney are the inspiration behind Brioni’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The collection includes full of life creations, where royal blue, energetic red, ginger and mandarin mix with a range of vegetable tones such as eucalyptus green, lavender, sage, right up to wine red.

The outerwear is elegant, figure- hugging, and is proposed in bright and sophisticated colours that give a new lease of life to next summer’s blazer – no longer just dark blue, but also purple, coral and wood green. The t-shirts are both with iconic prints and leather inlays, and in super fine cotton knit, while the shirts are young and sophisticated with prints that recall forest animals – which also make an appearance on the beach shorts and beach towel in a mix of browns and beige, as does the lagoon with bamboo prints in shades of green and dark blue.

The two-piece suit comes in both a cobalt blue silk/cotton mix and a silk seersucker suit in white and beige, while the three-piece suit is proposed with a new sunny effect in pure cotton.

For the evening, the cocktail jacket is a chessboard of small blue, beige, purple and green squares or a mix of blues to be matched with the celery colour shirt, while the dinner jacket is in silk shantung.

No one can prevent you from looking dapper now!
