For the second consecutive year, Buccellati has participated in Homo Faber, the prestigious cultural event dedicated to celebrating art, creativity, and contemporary craftsmanship. This year’s edition, held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, has been a remarkable showcase of global artistry and innovation.
The Italian brand renowned for its commitment to fine craftsmanship, is presenting two distinct projects that highlight its rich heritage and creative prowess. The first project focuses on the art de la table, unveiling a new silver centerpiece featuring exquisitely crafted artichokes. This piece is not merely a functional object but a tribute to nature’s symbolism and beauty, reflecting Buccellati’s skill in transforming everyday items into extraordinary works of art.
The second project from the maison celebrates its legacy in high jewelry, offering a stunning display of intricate designs and luxurious craftsmanship. This segment underscores Buccellati’s dedication to elevating the art of jewelry making, with each piece embodying Maison’s hallmark blend of tradition and contemporary elegance.
The third edition of Homo Faber, titled The Journey of Life, is art directed by the celebrated Luca Guadagnino, in collaboration with Milanese architect Nicolò Rosmarini. This groundbreaking exhibition features over 800 crafted objects from around the globe, curated to highlight the diverse and dynamic nature of contemporary craftsmanship.
“We are very honoured to take part for the second time in this extremely important cultural event, which even more this year has found the right fil rouge to link past, present and future with the theme The Journey of Life, in which our Maison is very much reflected,” Andrea Buccellati, Honorary President and Creative Director of the maison said.
With Luca Guadagnino’s visionary direction and the exhibition’s rich thematic exploration, Homo Faber promises to be an inspiring celebration of the intersection between art and craftsmanship. Buccellati’s contributions further enrich this narrative.
Homo Faber’s The Journey of Life is being held in Venice until September 30, 2024.
