Italian brand Canali is back to shaking things up as it blurs the line between personal style and personal space. Inspired by the brand’s roots in Brianza, a region celebrated for its high-end furniture craftsmanship, this collection brings a fresh perspective to menswear. Think floor patterns, rich textures, and unexpected material combos pulled straight from interior design, all transformed into wearable art.
Fluid coats with belted waists, reminiscent of robes, share the same supple quality as double trench coats and weightless suiting. The donegal texture found in knits and overcoats mirrors the soft fabrics found on armchairs and pillows. Even the Losanghe patterns, inspired by inlaid floors, become jacquards on pullovers and scarves. It’s Canali’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection and the brand gave it their all.
The refined precision of CANALI’s tailoring is what brings all of this together, offering a perfect balance of lightness and luxury. The silhouettes are soft and fluid, designed for movement, with texture and weightlessness at the core. Bouclé, buttoned fabrics, and Donegal tweed add a unique, three-dimensional effect, while freccia patterns make an appearance as quilting on leather blousons or as subtle details. Technical outerwear gets a luxe upgrade with leather trimmings.
The brand’s impeccable tailoring expertise infuses every category with a focus on lightness, including leather, which features the ultra-supple Nuvola construction. Knitwear also takes center stage, with rich, textured stitches that draw inspiration from furniture design, bridging the gap between underpinnings and outerwear. Every piece combines practical luxury with expert craftsmanship.
The materials chosen for this collection are rich and tactile, featuring wool, alpaca, beaver, cashmere, and nappa leather. Color plays a crucial role in CANALI’s gentle ethos, with this season’s palette offering a painterly mix of Verde Brianza, White Milk, Midnight Blue, and Canali Taupe, all enhanced by vibrant bursts of Cameo, Olio, and Ottanio.
Double unlined constructions, a signature of CANALI’s soft ethos, are now extended beyond outerwear and tailoring to include shoes, ties, scarves, and hats. The collection is completed with accessories like caps, sneakers, slip-ons, and loafers, along with soft, spacious bags.
To further extend the season’s concept, three seats designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni have been upholstered in fabrics from CANALI’s winter collection. CANALI’s evolution blends progress with a deep connection to its roots and that’s what fosters a harmonious dialogue with its surroundings.
