November 13, 2013: Luxury brand Chanel has launched its new eyewear collection which signifies elegance to the core.
Smooth with a lacquered finish, the black acetate and metal models bear a single decoration – the discreet double C signature. The refined arms of the rounded cat-eye sunglasses and the extra-large size accentuate the slender allure of this frame while a square version both envelopes and punctuates the face.
The lenses, brown or smoky – gradated or block – or imbued with an 18 carat white or yellow gold (achieved with a technological break-through which combines optimal protection against UV rays with stylish audacity) all introduce softness to the gaze. The glasses are available in three shapes – oval, square and panoramic rectangular.
On the square and cat-eye shaped sunglasses, the precious grain of the galuchat covers the front of the streamlined frames and contrasts with the delicate smooth metal arms. On the XL square and butterfly shapes, it covers only the arms which are braided with a gold or silver trim, for a sober and elegant effect. The brown or grey lenses – gradated or block – reveal and conceal the gaze, for utmost femininity.
On the arms of the optical glasses, the galuchat is highlighted by a golden or silver trim. The more masculine pantos and rectangular shapes complete this classic and modern elegance.
