Crafted in harmony with diverse artistic and aesthetic forms, Chaumet unveils Chaumet en Scène, the latest high jewelry collection from the French maison, inspired by music, dance, and magic. The new line was envisioned to be an exceptional performance, blending artistic disciplines across three distinct chapters.
Manifesting the art of movement so cherished by the brand, each set becomes a unique spectacle in which the high jewelry pieces showcase their iridescent stones.
For the first scene dedicated to music, Chaumet artisans have created three parures: harmony, melody, and score. A trio of emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds offer a precious score, while the duet of the sapphires and diamonds serenade in sheer harmony in a necklace with a 700-bezel and 2,800 claw settings.
Lastly, the diamonds sparkle alone. Reminiscent of a melody itself, the jewels studded with precious gems conclude the first chapter.
Next up is a bright and passionate pop of colors. The second tableau is an homage to dance, featuring a series of masterful dance forms such as Tango, Ballet, and Swing. The Tango parure evokes frenzied passion, with rubellites and tourmalines intertwined in golden spirals.
Ceylon sapphires and diamonds are set in a style similar to modern pas de deux, highlighting grace and elegance akin to ballet while the violet sapphires evoke the lively spirit and energy of swing in tune with the work in white gold.
Magic, being the inspiration for the final chapter, brings breathtaking surprises with three otherworldly parures: voltige, illusion, and trompe-l’œil. With ‘Voltige’, diamonds floating above the skin echo the notion of acrobats, while the ‘Illusion’ piece dazzles with Mozambique rubies that warp one’s paradigms.
With dazzling sets one after another, Chaumet exhibits the Maison’s dexterity and savoir-faire. Employing techniques honed over centuries and expertise from the house’s highly gifted gemologists, these are true objets d’art, conforming to a melody of their own.
