October 3, 2014: Christian Louboutin has launched its Wedding Suite at their store in Horniman Circle, Mumbai, India. The space will offer guests a variety of special services, women’s and men’s bridal collections alongside bags and small leather goods.
Located one level up, a sectioned wall has been adorned in white lacquer juxtaposed with hand carved wooden screens all locally sourced in Mumbai. On the adjacent wall, oversized teak shelves fold down to reveal private mirrored alcoves, supported by brass chains suspended from the ceiling. The space is filled with hand drawn and embroidered panels by JF Lessage and selected by Mr Louboutin, comfortable sofas and chairs. A sari table has been placed for the bride to keep her wedding attire on while finding the perfect matching accessories.
The suite also gives the bespoke, Tattoo Made-to-Measure service to its patrons! At the heart of this unique concept is a choice of three embroidery techniques which can be used to create a truly one-of-a-kind shoe with the guest’s own personal touch – whether it’s initials, a Mehendi inspired design, an elephant or any good luck charm. Customers can also select fabric, heel height and style to create their perfect shoe for wedding occasions.
