June 18, 2011: Opening the men’s fashion week in Milan this season, Corneliani orchestrated its show at the historic Manzoni cinema for a select audience consisting of journalists, buyers and exclusive guests all gathered for the presentation of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
A highly evocative stage filled with sand set the scene with predominantly natural colours and raw materials. Corneliani revealed its environmentally correct sense of fashion with the help of abaca, the most natural of vegetable fibres, which grows without the intervention of humans. Water-resistant, elastic and very thin, it is ideal for creating absolutely modern garments.
The forms too, from the deconstructed jackets to the knitwear with bold weaves, reflected an elegantly relaxed flavour. Set in an imaginary desert, Corneliani elegance quickly transformed into urban style by putting steel greys and blacks in the spotlight, bringing to the stage a sartorially superb suit, with authoritative colours and perfect lines – slim and harmonious – and enriched with sophisticated details.
Perfect for a relaxed holiday and casual times, the collection reflects the quintessence of the Corneliani man.
