Counting hours with The Nuit Fantastique from Trilobe

Seamlessly marrying contemporary design with the age-old craftsmanship of traditional watchmaking, Trilobe has introduced its latest collection, Nuit Fantastique, Guilloche edition.

Inspired by the Nuit Fantastique’s minimalistic design, the elegant guilloche and grained dial stand as a remarkable technical feat, accentuating the timepiece’s inherent grace. This innovative arrangement not only underscores the watch’s precision but also exemplifies the fusion of art and engineering that defines the Nuit Fantastique collection’s ethos.

The dial boldly shatters the confines of symmetry, consisting of four distinct components. Three of them permanently rotate: the largest wheel for the hours; the minutes wheel that appears within an aperture and the seconds wheel, which alternates between a “Clous de Paris” centre and an azured ring.

The design of the dial is elevated with the merge of the linear Clous de Paris guilloche and the intertwined curves of the Grain d’Orge guilloche. The dial also showcases a captivating interplay of hues between gray and brown which explains the English translation of its name, “mist.”

Nuit Fantastique Brume features the exclusive X-Centric caliber, an automatic movement meticulously crafted by Trilobe. Marking a historic moment, this timepiece proudly displays the inscription “Paris – France” for the first time, paying homage to the brand’s recently inaugurated watchmaking workshop in Paris.

The self-winding integrated mechanical caliber, featuring a micro-rotor, is a testament to precision engineering. With an impressive 48-hour power reserve, this timepiece ensures consistent and reliable performance. Its balance frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) ensures accurate timekeeping.

Crafted with 33 functional rubies, this caliber not only guarantees smooth movement but also showcases the watchmaker’s attention to detail. Comprising a total of 215 components, this mechanical masterpiece is a harmonious fusion of complexity and artistry.

Available in two variants, the titanium models are priced at $13,859 USD, while the rose gold variant is available for $26,652 USD.
