Ferretti has never failed to bring forth something new in each of its yachts. This time, the new Ferretti 800, has a spacious and re-worked layout. Architect Gianni Zuccon, from Studio Zuccon International Project and Ferretti Group’s Advanced Yacht Technology (AYT), has combined the original Ferretti Yachts style with a new area design in the Ferretti 800. The resulting yacht features generous interior spaces combined with exceptional lighting inside.
Ferretti 800 has a lot of features which make it a considerable buy. First, the yacht has four cabins, which is unusual for a yacht of this size, thus making it a good option for setting up for charter. The cabins on the lower deck are roomy and naturally lit.. The master cabin is positioned towards the stern, with the bed oriented in the direction of sailing, and two large open view windows. A sliding door provides access to the large head, with teak, lined maple flooring and a sensory shower column. A spacious walk-in wardrobe, a vanity unit and LCD TV integrated into the wall, complete the furnishings. Continuing towards the bow, a VIP cabin is located to the left with a double bed which can be transformed into two singles, and en-suite head. To the opposite is the guest cabin with beds which are crossed and overlapping, where the lower one is slightly larger than a single bed. This cabin also features a large window and en-suite head. Towards the bow is the main VIP cabin, with a double bed set opposite to the direction of sailing, double wardrobes and an en-suite head.
Second, the yacht is bathed in natural light from all quarters. Large windows ensure that you are never in the dark. The LED lighting has also been done cleverly to provide ample illumination at night. Third, the crew area has been moved towards the bow, to give complete privacy to the guests.
Looking out
The bronze dome contrasts well with the white hull of the boat. The dome can be completed, upon the owner’s request, with a hard top which can be opened. The main deck is almost entirely lit through the windows, guaranteeing maximum external visibility. The lower deck, too, guarantees an extraordinary amount of lighting. Overall, this yacht looks lightweight, elegant, with a sporty touch.
The spacious cockpit has teak flooring and is furnished with a large sundeck bench which can be transformed into a seat for the table, complete with small armchairs. The flybridge can be accessed by the stairway on the right, where there is a large dining area with a U-shaped table, grill area and fridge, while towards the stern, there is a large sundeck. At bow, to the right side, is another sundeck and a stairway to the salon. On the main deck at the bow, Ferretti 800 features an alternative, highly comfortable living solution, typical of maxi yachts. Besides a large sundeck, a spacious, semicircular area has been created, furnished with a large table and seating, where owner and guests can relax in complete privacy.
Inside Out
The large salon inside is bathed in light through the large windows. It has been skilfully managed to create two distinct areas – living and dining. The living area has two sofas and a low coffee table. To the left is the television with a foldaway pop-up system. The dining area is located on the same level, with a crystal table which can seat eight guests. Towards the right, a sliding door provides access to the bridge, the galley and the crew area, and a unit with shelves.
The helm station is located to the left with a door leading outside. To starboard, there is an access area with the second door leading outside, followed by a convenient dinette with two small sofas. The galley has been rationally moved to the bow in the crew area. It can easily be reached from various areas. The bar area can be isolated from the galley. Warm shades of cocoa coloured polished lacquered furniture, coupled with cold shades of white shelves and natural lighting, results in a bright environment. Ferretti 800 has a bright future indeed.
