Amidst the buzz of Milan Design Week 2024, Buccellati has unveiled its latest creation in partnership with renowned designer Patricia Urquiola. What is the hype about it? In a never seen before, silver and bamboo come together to create a striking new Tahiti Picnic Basket.
Building upon the legacy of the iconic Tahiti line by jewelry maestro Buccellati, which first graced the scene in the 1960s, these new additions seamlessly blend the meticulous craftsmanship of silver with the rustic charm of bamboo. This collection pays homage to the natural splendor of the Polynesian islands.
The Picnic Baskets offer a contemporary take on gatherings, perfect for outdoor picnics with loved ones. The idea was inspired during Milan Design Week 2022, at Buccellati’s Galateo, A Journey Into Conviviality exhibition.
Crafted with the utmost artisanal mastery synonymous with Buccellati, the Tahiti Picnic Baskets feature leather weaving in beige and brown hues externally, while internally, a wooden structure is lined with soft suede fabric.
The set includes silverware from the Buccellati Tahiti collection and porcelain items from the collaboration with Ginori 1735.
