February 13, 2014: Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos, a five-star hotel divided into three separate sections for discerning travelers of all tastes – the adults-only Hotel, the family-friendly Villas and the uber-luxe Estate, is all set to enthrall guests with multiple novelties this year.
This spring, celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia will lend his aesthetic style to Grace Bay Resort’s properties, including Grace Bay Club and The Residences, a private residential micro-resort of ultra-luxury single-family beachfront homes. Inspired by the resort’s tropical surroundings, Filicia’s design concept blends new textures, dynamic colours and soft lighting to enhance the property’s atmosphere and deliver a more contemporary experience for guests. Interior enhancements, including the Grace Bay Club lobby and two prototype Villa Suites debuted in early 2014. The remaining Villa upgrades will be completed later this year, followed by the adults-only Hotel and Estate in 2015
On the other hand, the hotel has also launched Jars on Grace Bay, their latest culinary concept, where the entire menu is served in jars of various shapes and sizes! Situated on Grace Bay Beach, the open-air restaurant boasts inventive, hyper-local cuisine complimented by a variety of Rosé wines and handcrafted cocktails. Jars also features a 30-foot communal table, oversized couches and a main bar. Menu highlights include Chilled Yellow and Red Tomato Gazpacho with Manchego Scone; Spiny Lobster Ramen with Ginger Pasta & Snow Peas in Sesame Broth; Malaysian Fried Rice with Red Chili Egg, Spring Onion and Dungeness Crab; Coconut Pana Cotta; and Island Ice Cream Cassata.
Talking about food, Grace Bay Resorts, in partnership with the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board and The Wine Cellar, will host the Fourth Annual Caribbean Food & Wine Festival on November 6 – 8, 2014. The three-day, non-profit event brings together renowned chefs for a celebration of Caribbean cuisine and culture. The 2013 event raised an estimated $50,000 for The Department of Youth Affairs and the island’s “Little chefs” mentor program that supports and encourages young local chefs to pursue careers in hospitality.
To add more glamour, Grace Bay Club also boasts the longest beach bar in the Caribbean, the Infiniti Bar; the only gourmet oceanfront restaurant on Providenciales, Anacaona; and renowned spa, Anani. Make sure you visit the property to bask in all these facilities!
