After the Spring/Summer 2024 collection, Artistic Director Sabato De Sarno has elevated his creative prowess with fresh interpretations of the brand’s style narrative. The iconic Gucci aesthetic and the artistic director’s refined and understated vision presented a remarkable array.
His characteristic sensuality and sharp tailoring were achieved with Mr. De Sarno’s extensive new color palette. Jackie handbags were again spotted.
The collection resonates with the Spring/Summer 2024 womenswear collection, encapsulating the same aesthetic through six looks that serve as connecting elements between the two collections. This approach contributes to a complete and unified representation of Mr. De Sarno’s fresh vision for Gucci.
Deep V-neck suit jackets, chunky-soled loafers, sweeping trench coats, precisely tailored leatherwear, and softly contoured wool coats made most of the ‘euphoria’ mentioned by the artistic director.
The collection also featured crystal-embedded trousers, and flowing neckties, creating a distinctive aesthetic. His dedication to infusing the House’s iconic designs with a refined, contemporary flair could be seen in crisply tailored pleated trousers and dazzling sleeveless tops adorned with rhinestones.
In short, the collection is sophisticated, fine, punctuated with just the right touch of measured drama.
De Sarno described the collection as “It’s a story of joy of life, of passion, of humanity, of people, of real life, of irreverent glamour, of provocation, of confidence, of simplicity, of immediate feelings and emotions, of a specific type of art, of words – words in artworks, words in pictures, words in spaces, just words.”
