September 5, 2019: Gucci and Saks Fifth Avenue have joined forces to celebrate Gucci ready-to-wear and accessories at Saks, as well as the House’s first genderless fragrance, Gucci Mémoire d'une Odeur.
The exclusive Gucci collection designed for Saks features 22 one-of-a-kind looks and accessories for men and women. Showing Alessandro Michele’s signature style language, these collectable looks feature ornate colorful fabrics, modern tailoring and standout outerwear pieces, including capes and coats. Specially created accessories for Saks include Gucci Zumi top handle bags crafted in precious skins, a sandal with a leaf motif that wraps around the ankle, mules with a crystal studded tiger head on the toe and the Gucci Grip watch.
Transcending gender and time, Gucci Mémoire d'une Odeur blends Roman Chamomile and Indian Coral Jasmine to establish a new olfactive family, Mineral Aromatic, which is a mix of scents and emotions: airy, musky, transparent and authentic. This new modern fragrance will be available for purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue New York.
To celebrate further, Gucci will take over the iconic department store with dedicated windows and in-store displays. The windows on Fifth Avenue, 50th and 49th Streets will highlight the Saks exclusive ready-to-wear and accessories, Gucci Mémoire d’une Odeur and Gucci Beauty. The windows will include green hand-brushed boiserie, green carpeting and velvet curved sofas, vintage TVs, and mannequins in Gucci ready-to-wear and lipstick. The special Gucci in-store installations will include handbags, Gucci Mémoire d’une Odeur, Saks exclusive women’s ready-to-wear, men’s ready-to-wear, and shoes.
Gucci’s Saks Fifth Avenue New York takeover will be on display through September 23, 2019.
