Gucci taps BTS’ Jin as the newest global ambassador

As the ‘Super Tuna’ singer gets back into the game, he will be seen flaunting some Gucci fashion!

After wrapping up his military service, BTS vocalist Jin is back in action. It’s no surprise that the K-pop star has a jam-packed schedule ahead. He kicked things off with a quick fan meet-and-greet, carried the torch at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and now, Gucci has just announced that Jin is joining their team as their newest global brand ambassador.

Admiring Gucci’s Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and speaking of his new role, Jin said, “Gucci is an iconic brand with a long-standing heritage and modernity. It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house.”

The Creative Director said, “I am very excited to welcome Jin as Global Brand Ambassador. His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him.”

BTS has been a global phenomenon, earning multiple ‘Top Social Artist’ awards at the Billboard Music Awards and making history as the first Korean artists to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with songs such as Butter and more. In October 2022, Jin released his solo debut single, The Astronaut.

Now, as Gucci’s Global Brand Ambassador, Jin will represent the brand in various initiatives and events, showcasing its innovative spirit. By signing BTS’ oldest member, Gucci aims to boost its presence in South Korea, a market that’s seen impressive growth in luxury.

The brand is also gearing up for the launch of its new product line, ‘Gucci Cultural Month,’ in Seoul on October 15, celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage. Other ambassadors for the brand include Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae, NewJeans’ Hanni, and renowned Korean rapper Jay Park. Fresh off completing his 18-month mandatory military service, Jin is making a comeback with a new vlog series, RUN JIN, set to debut on August 13, 2024, and has hinted at a forthcoming solo album.
