Gucci.com launches the Gucci Garden collection

June 28, 2016: Gucci has announced the launch of a special collection of women’s ready-to-wear clothing and accessories that will be available solely online, beginning July 5, 2016.

Gucci Garden collection
Known as Gucci Garden, this collection is characterized by a new print created by Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, which showcases flora and fauna. The key animals of the Gucci Garden are the bee and the snake. The print presents four different types of butterflies, ladybirds, small red and blue birds, bumblebees, colored beetles and a king snake, plus varieties of blooms, including carnations and roses.

The exclusive print is offered on several silhouettes of the new Gucci female wardrobe: a pleated ankle-length dress, a long-sleeve shirt with scarf, a long and a short pleated skirt and ‘70s-style shorts, all in silk crêpe de chine. The collection also features a reversible zip-up bomber jacket in silk twill with knitted lurex details, and a special knitwear style: a long-sleeve V-neck reversible cardigan in wool-cashmere with a printed silk twill external layer.

Furthermore, the Gucci Garden collection also includes a printed neoprene sweatshirt, a cotton T-shirt and denim flares with patches and embroidery. In terms of accessories, the print features on three sizes of the Dionysus bag and on a zip-around wallet, all in leather; it can also be found on a silk twill foulard, a low-top sneaker and a mule with the House horsebit detail.

The Gucci Garden collection will be delivered in exclusively designed packaging – black-pink-and-red gift boxes and paper bags with black ribbon handles. In addition to this, pieces will be wrapped using red tissue paper, two widths of black ribbon adorned with red stars and red flannel pouches.

The collection will be released online beginning July 5, 2016 for a limited period, and only available in territories with access to Gucci e-commerce: USA, Canada, Continental Europe, UAE, Japan, Korea and Australia. It will also be possible to buy these special pieces at Gucci stores in the above-mentioned territories on in-house iPads. The items can be shipped to the client’s home (if they live in a territory with access to Gucci e-commerce), or to the store where the goods were ordered.
