December 18, 2015: Understanding the fact that every Christmas, men around the world open uninspiring and unwanted gifts from their loved ones (well, it is hard to find good, unique gifts for men every year!), British brand Hackett London has launched a series of short movies, telling people to expand their taste.
The videos, a satirical take on men’s gifting, starts with shots of how most of the gifts end up in garbage cans or in dogs mouths. The series of videos, entitled ‘Gift Tastefully’, showcase the moments of devastation in the days after Christmas where unwanted gifts are disposed of in various fashions. These scenarios are expressions of gentlemanly disappointment – gratefully accepted but never to be worn. They end with a glimpse into what men would really, really appreciate.
