September 3, 2020: Capri Holdings Limited, the multinational fashion holding group, has appointed Hannah Colman for the role of Chief Executive Officer of the British luxury house Jimmy Choo.
Ms. Colman has inimitable knowledge and deep understanding of the Jimmy Choo brand, having been one of the earliest employees of the company. She served as a Store Manager 24 years ago, in Jimmy Choo’s first boutique on Motcomb Street in London. Since then, she has taken over several major roles like President EMEA and Global E-commerce.
Sandra Choi, Founder and Creative Director of Jimmy Choo, commented, “Hannah and I have worked together since the start of our fashion luxury house. I couldn’t be happier that she will now lead our company as we continue to grow Jimmy Choo as one of the most important British luxury brands in the world. We share the same vision for the future of this brand that we both love.”
Functioning as the brand's Interim CEO for the past few months, this new announcement comes among a slew of other leadership changes in the luxury industry.
Ms. Colman was currently serving as the interim CEO of the company. Commenting on her new role, she said, “Having been part of the Jimmy Choo team since 1996 I am thrilled to be leading such an iconic British luxury house. Working alongside Sandra over the last few months as Interim CEO has been a great experience and it’s a privilege to lead such a talented team who have done an incredible job of steering the brand through the events of this year. I take the responsibility of writing the next chapter of this remarkable luxury house incredibly seriously and couldn’t be more excited by the opportunity.”
Ms. Colman has grown strength by strength with the Jimmy Choo brand, and showing incredible confidence in her knowledge and loyalty, John D. Idol, Jimmy Choo’s Chairman, has expressed faith that “she will continue to lead Jimmy Choo to even greater heights."
