Hotel Cafe Royal debuts new restaurant ‘Laurent’

May 30, 2018: This June, London’s Hotel Cafe Royal is set to announce the launch of a brand new 110-cover restaurant with internationally renowned chef Laurent Tourondel. The Laurent is located on the first floor of the hotel and offers a relaxed yet refined all-day dining concept in line with today’s contemporary lifestyles. Laurent will be chef Tourondel’s first European venue, joining an impressive roster of restaurants across the globe, including in New York, Hong Kong and the Caribbean.

The menu will be centred around the parilla grill, a traditional iron grill barbecue, originally from Argentina, allowing the chef to control the heat to ensure perfectly cooked chargrilled meat or fish. Diners can expect to choose from a diverse menu ranging from steaks to seafood with an interesting selection of sauces to accompany. Along with light and flavorsome starters, traditional breakfast dishes will be served with a Laurent twist. In addition, a sushi bar will serve a wide choice of sushi across the restaurant and there has been a particular emphasis on the dessert menu for diners.

The open kitchen, grill, and sushi bar will create a convivial space with refined all-day dining, booth seating and lighting to create an informal but sophisticated atmosphere.
