A. Lange & Soehne wins two awards

February 25, 2011: The new year has already bought good news to A. Lange & Söhne. This year’s “Goldene Unruh 2011” (Golden Balance 2011) presented two prizes to the German watchmaking brand!

In the top category ‘watches priced over 25,000 Euro’ the winner was the Saxonia Annual Calendar, which had launched last year. The 1815 Moonphase from the anniversary collection, 165 Years – Homage to F. A. Lange, was awarded the 2nd prize in the category ‘watches priced up to 25,000 Euro’. The awards were received by founder Walter Lange and Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid.

Since 1998, the readers of the watch journal Uhren-Magazin and the registered users of Focus-Online vote for the best watches in the world. With about 11,000 participants, it is one of the biggest readers’ polls in the watch world. Voters have to make their choice among 400 mechanical watches. A. Lange & Söhne timepieces have been voted 10 times winner and in total 20 times into the top three.
