February 4, 2012: The Saree Silhouette by Indian designer duo, Abraham & Thakore, has been acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum as a part of their permanent collection which also consists of designs from Coco Chanel and Christian Dior.

The Victoria & Albert Museum in London harbours one of the most prestigious collections of international art and design. This acquisition recognizes the significance and iconic nature of Abraham & Thakore's designs and the integral role they play in the constantly evolving Indian fashion.

The piece collected was from the Autumn Winter 2010/11 collection which depicts a power infused form for women who are ready for work in a fashionable urban professional environment.
