The Wallace Chan porcelain – featured in most of the pieces – is Mr. Chan’s own creation which he has spent years perfecting. This particular porcelain is five times sturdier than steel.
‘The Wheel of Time’ is a proud display of works from Mr. Chan's remarkable career, the majority of which have been kindly loaned by several of his important international collectors. Some other highlights are ‘The Joy of Life Brooch’ a dazzling butterfly piece studded with diamond, pearl, and titanium; The Hours Necklace; Microscopic Ring and much more.

The Wheel of Time necklace brilliantly gives the 12 Chinese signs equal visibility, as you rotate it to highlight whichever sign you want. Are you a rabbit? Put it in the middle. Is it the Year of the Rat? Well, rotate and display the mischievous symbol!
Mr. Chan shared, "In the blink of an eye, half a century has flown by. I am humbled by the opportunity to present my largest exhibition in Europe at Christie's in London…Time is an eternal wheel that rotates for infinity with neither beginning nor end. In the creative process, time is a theme so intangible, yet omnificent."
