With an uptick in the demand for EVs in the automobile landscape, BMW is taking a step ahead on its journey toward an electric future.
September 14, 2023: BMW has introduced its latest version of advanced technology with the BMW Vision Neue Klasse. Electric cars are not the future, it is the present. Striving to make a mark on the present, the marquee set forth the Vision Neue Klasse with a fully electric drivetrain with sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology that will do wonders in reducing carbon footprint.
The model, which will be unveiled at the IAA Mobility 2023 International Motor Show in Munich, has made major advances such as newly developed round battery cells, with more than 20% higher energy density than that of the prismatic cells used previously. The sixth generation of BMW eDrive technology boasts of an enhanced charging speed for Neue Klasse models by up to 30%, in addition to boosting their range by up to 30%. As a result of all these measures, overall vehicle efficiency will increase by up to 25%.
This thrilling and highly desirable car houses all the BMW features such as the powerful wheel arches, the inset greenhouse, and the steeply forward-slanting “shark nose” front end. The monolithic form and shape add a new perception to the model. Bright cord fabrics create a comfortable atmosphere inside the BMW Vision Neue Klasse.
The luminous exterior paintwork with its subtle yellow hue, underscores the friendly personality of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse. With a higher percentage of secondary raw materials and significantly reduced material variety, targeted improvements have been made to enhance circularity. An improved dismantling concept will also help optimize recycling of the vehicles of the Neue Klasse. The entire car is built based on three key components: electrification, digitalization, and circularity.
Promising an exceptional experience, the model will feature the BMW Panoramic Vision for the first time, which will offer human-car interaction and the voice control of the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. The production of the BMW’s new model is expected to commence by 2025.
