Fendi invites Mr. Doodle to give its headquarters and the Fendi Peekaboo a makeover!
August 7, 2019: As part of its ‘F is for… FENDI’ campaign, Italian brand FENDI invited Mr. Doodle for an iconic performance at its headquarters.
25-year-old artist form London, Sam Cox aka Mr Doodle is an artist known for his unique style of drawing doodles. He doodles walls, rooms, furniture, vehicles, buildings and anything he can get his hands on, all the way up to this latest extreme makeover of the FENDI HQ.
Captured in a fun video, Mr. Doodle takes his pen to create giant mirrored letters spelling out FENDI, ROMA and FF, the iconic FENDI double F. Two days of drawing in a never-ending creative stream. He doodles designing character by character and connecting all the drawings together to give life to the all-over spectacular Doodle’s pattern in black and yellow tones.
But what captures our eye is the iconic Fendi Peekaboo also going through the makeover! For the design of his Peekaboo bag, Mr. Cox mixes elements from his creative world, DoodleLand with the FENDI universe. Small funny creatures in black and white give life to the pattern on the bag, contrasted by a strong use of yellow on FENDI, FF and ROMA. The Peekaboo Bag featuring this “repetitive” pattern seems to show two identical sides, while each element is different from the other, resulting in a one-of-a-kind Peekaboo bag.
