Gucci presents Women's Pre-fall 2018 collection
January 4, 2018: A riot of colors, sophistication, layered looks, patterns and motifs, Alessandro Michele’s Women’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection for Gucci is as vibrant as ever. With the photo campaign shot by Peter Schlesinger, some of the looks include NY Yankees baseball caps as a first result of a collaboration between Gucci and the Major League Baseball (MLB).
Florals, checks and sequins make an appearance in the collection, as do bright shades and subtle pastels. Glamourous looks are kept alongside understated styles.
But apart from the diverse collection that has become characteristic of Mr Michele, the choice of shooting locations is what adds that extra panache to this collection. The list of locations is an homage to “the atmospheres of Dario Argento's films”, such as “Inferno” (1980) and “L’Uccello dalle Piume di Cristallo” (1970).
