Longchamp presents Spring/Summer 2019 collection

Longchamp Spring/Summer 2019 collectionSeptember 13, 2018: Luxury fashion brand Longchamp recently presented its Spring Summer 2019 collection, which encompasses vibrant silhouettes of ‘70s glamour, a Californian spirit and an audacious sense of Parisian elegance.

Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine’s first runway show attempts to evoke dreamy desert drives and late nights in L.A. through airy feminine transparent animal print dresses on top of leather bikinis or fringed jackets worn over soft macramé dresses.

Ikat becomes a signature motif throughout the collection, printed on leather fringe and embroidered on delicate tulle fabrics.

Presenting brand new bag lines, the Amazone is adorned with stones, twisted with contrasting colorful materials while the Cavalcade is made with vivid colors and animal prints. Leather fringes are added to all accessories.

The color palette is influenced by bright summer days. Rust-hued leathers are whipstitched with turquoise leather while black and white details lend an urban sense.

The shoes in the collection — including graphic, suede gladiators and fur slippers — are flat to signify the ease of movement and a love of the outdoors.

Forty looks were created, all with an emphasis on Longchamp’s historic use of leather — considering Longchamp’s completion of 70 years in fashion.
