Montegrappa unveils 'The Beauty Book' collection
September 16, 2016: Born of awareness during previous projects, Montegrappa is now collaborating in support of efforts to eradicate brain cancer, in conjunction with The Beauty Book.
The Beauty Book is a 312-page hardcover coffee-table book filled with images of celebrities, musicians and top models, taken by the famed photographer Darren Tieste. All the monies raised will go directly to Brain Cancer via two charities: SNOG and HEADRUSH.
In support of this cause, Montegrappa has developed writing instruments for both men and women. Both are made of celluloid, employing new colours. Both series will be available as fountain pens and rollerballs. All pens feature solid sterling silver trims, while the fountain pens’ nibs are 18k gold; the latter all use ebonite feeders and will be offered in three writing grades of fine, medium and broad.
The Beauty Book pens feature the globally-recognised ‘ribbon’ symbol in the fight against cancer in the caps’ tops.
For the men’s pens, grey celluloid in a circumferential stripe has been developed, the body a form with a ‘waist’ recalling a sharp, tailored suit. The pocket clip terminates in the signature ‘rolling ball’ that Montegrappa devised to ensure smooth insertion and removal from a pocket. Behind the clip is a ‘secret’ layer of red lacquer. For the Ladies Pen, a smaller, clipless form has been created, the better to fit in small handbags, purses and clutches. It features genuine Swarovski stones set around cap’s top trim.
The brand will issue 200 each of the Men’s Fountain Pens, Men’s Rollerball Pens, Ladies’ Fountain Pens and Ladies’ Rollerball Pens.
