Moschino [TV] H&M to be in market from November 8
October 12, 2018: H&M, the American fast fashion brand announced their collaboration with Moschino, an Italian luxury brand in April 2017. Since then, the brands have been showing us sneak peeks about how the collection would be and what to expect from the unexpected collaboration.
The collaboration was Jeremy Scott’s new venture after ending a long term association with Adidas and joining Moschino. The brands have released their lookbook for the collaboration, putting us at ease about what to expect!
The collection is all Moschino in it’s true self. The entire collection sums up Mr. Scott’s love for bold and out there designs. The collection practically has everything bold and loud under the sun.
There are oversized sweatshirts, fur coats to undaunted accessories and bags. It’s all zips and MTV logos and our favourite Disney characters. The collection reproduces the 1980s in most relevant manner.
In an interview to Vogue, Mr. Scott said, “I thought about the mood of 'street', the mix and attitude of haute couture and humour, and the elements of bling bling accessories piled up on top of each other to capture and create the look I do on the catwalk. I thought of it like ingredients for a feast, and I wanted to include all the ingredients to make sure it had all the essence of a Moschino collection. You get cartoon characters, you get gold, bold Moschino jewellery, you get sequins and shiny things, and a mix and juxtaposition of elements you don't normally find together. Expect the unexpected!”
The collection is huge, with almost 50 pieces ranging from £25 to £300. With this collaboration not only are Moschino and H&M dimishing the gap between luxury and fast fashion brands but also giving new voice to creativity and expression of fashion.
