The collection reflected some of the designer’s best visions from the past 25 years
July 17, 2020: Indian couture designer, Tarun Tahiliani, launched ‘Pieces of You’ with his first-ever digital fashion show. The collection, a compilation of the designer’s creative vision over the past 25 years, included a myriad of techniques, drapes and fabrics.
Shot at Mr. Tahiliani’s atelier – with strict social distancing guidelines in place – the mood-board room was repurposed to create a ramp-like setting. From walls to the flooring, the backdrop was tailored to hero each of the pieces in the collection. The combination of a taupe jade setting with exquisite carpets from the antique collections of The Carpet Cellar enhanced the décor.
With over 100 vestments, the digital presentation showcased highlights from the designer’s Bridal-Wear, Occasion-Wear and Ready-to-Wear lines. The color palette ranged from black, ivory and nudes to brighter hues of oranges, pinks and emerald green. The show was a visual feast indeed.
