Falguni Shane Peacock’s Renaissance Reverie is a glowing tribute to Indian craftsmanship and offers an abundance of silhouettes exploding with colors.
August 1, 2023: Elevating the art and architecture of the Renaissance period and splendidly blending it with striking hues, Falguni Shane Peacock presented their collection ‘Renaissance Reverie’ at the 16th edition of FDCI’s Hyundai India Couture Week 2023, in association with Reliance Brands.
The enthralling realm of museums, art galleries, vintage stores, and antique shops has long inspired the designer duo. ‘Renaissance Reverie’ is a divine assortment of the designers’ love for art and the treasures they encounter during their travels.
The beauty of intricate embroidery techniques and the artistry of Indian craftsmanship is showcased in this line-up. The show was closed by Satyaprem Ki Katha star Kiara Advani in a stunning pink fitted gown.
The elaborate embroidery methods and handmade embellishments highlight the skilled craftsmen's delicate handiwork, perfectly blending the grandeur of the Renaissance with the richness of Indian history.
About the collection, Falguni Shane Peacock said, “This year, we are extremely excited to open the 16th edition of FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week, in association with Reliance Brands. Our collection, Renaissance Reverie, pays tribute to the Renaissance period and represents a harmonious fusion of rich Indian culture, techniques, and craftsmanship. We are grateful to Mr. Sunil Sethi and FDCI for their invaluable role in shaping the India Couture Week into the most coveted couture showcase in India and for having us to open the show. We’re looking forward to a great evening!”
A visual treat to the eyes, each garment outshines the other with splendid colors and a marriage of materials. The color palette is equally impressive with luscious strawberry yogurt, Acapulco sand, Portland grey, sand shell beige, vibrant accents of sugar coral, primrose yellow, and purple ash.
Jackets and veils complement pompous skirts. FSP’s trademark feathers add a glamourous volume to shiny gowns.
