January 20, 2023: Luxury lifestyle products highlighting timeless and riveting designs are central to Indian brand Sage Living’s philosophy. Their austere, minimalistic style emanates calmness and warmth. Taking forward that sentiment, designer duo and co-founders, Keerthi Tummala and Ram Kabadi, create a new collection that draws inspiration from Japanese Zen principle Enso, a sacred circle drawn with a single stroke in a meditative state that symbolizes the circle of togetherness.

Enso signifies the central tenets of the wabi-sabi principles: fukinsei (asymmetry, irregularity), kanso (simplicity), shizen (natural), and yugen (subtly profound grace). The collection is crafted from natural materials like Travertine, Pyrite, marble, wood, and granite in their real and raw form.

As an example, the yugen aspect is personified into the Kyoto chair with its poetic curve while the Nara dining table coruscates elegance with its asymmetrically shaped travertine top creating exquisite subtle patterns. The unorthodox organic perimeter of The Yoruba Coffee table, where perforated pyrite saddles an intriguing travertine top, is a celebration of imperfections.

The fluid designs, asymmetry, simplicity, functionality and the use of worldly materials spans throughout the enchanting, yet calming, collection.
