September 19, 2016: Indian fashion designer Ritu Kumar announced the launch of two new stores in Dubai. Located in Dubai Festival City mall and Bur Juman center, the stores will carry each of the sub brands from Ritu Kumar – the pret line Label, classically elegant Ritu Kumar and the opulent & exquisite bridal wear by Ri Ritu Kumar.
Spread over 1600 sq ft in Duba Festival City Mall with a triple height shop-front and over 1900 sq ft in BurJuman centre, the interiors of the new stores represent Ms Kumar’s detailing and timeless craft.
Speaking about the launch, Amrish Kumar, CEO, Ritu Kumar said, “The market in Dubai is a mix of cosmopolitan as well as traditional significances with a strong cultural diversity. It enables us to access customers from across the world as it is placed between the east and the west. The local tastes and climate are well suited to our product and aesthetics. Dubai is a natural first step for our international expansion and we are excited to be opening our second & third store there this year. It will be our base to expand further into the Middle East”.
Ritu Kumar now has two stores in Dubai, since the opening of first store in 2014. These new stores, as well as the three stores in Mauritius, have the brand poised for global expansion in the future.
