InterContinental Hotel Group enters Sri Lanka with new hotel

July 17, 2018: Pearl Grand Tower Hotel (Pvt) Ltd has signed a management agreement with the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), bringing the brand back to the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo. This amalgamation will give birth to one of the tallest luxury hotels in Colombo, with 42 floors, and within short distance from all important locations like the city centre, domestic and international airports.

The luxurious hotel is said to be completed by 2019, spread across 480,000 sq. ft. and will feature 307 rooms and 47 suites. InterContinental Colombo will also have eloquent meeting and banqueting facilities to accommodate 400 guests within an impressive area of 12,000 sq. ft. area. Additionally the hotel will also have a gymnasium, spa for guests, and an outdoor pool. All the rooms are well adorned with modern amenities to ensure a rather magnificent overview of the Indian Ocean. The hotel, further, will spoil guests with six dining options and three speciality restaurants.

On the occasion, Sudeep Jain. Vice President Development, South West Asia, IHG  said “With a great location coupled with the best in class amenities and highest level of service that the brand is associated with, we are confident of offering the finest luxury experiences to our guests, when we open our door in 2019."
