May 23, 2016: Bottega Veneta has presented their 2017 Cruise collection, a wardrobe for both women and men. Among the colors in its large palette are classic darks, saturated brights, and contrasting dusty pastels.
In the women’s collection, coats are always present and the idea of dressing is distilled to the minimum. For Men, the long lines are translated into sportier pieces but all with a narrower fit.
Materials are divided into shiny and matte, including shiny crinkled lamb skin, high gloss coated rainwear and lambskin, shiny waxed cotton twill, as well as cotton satin, devoré velvets and jacquards. Matte materials consist of cotton velvet and corduroy calf suede, bonded crepe, sturdy wool and bonded tweed, gabardine, and viscose jersey. Pavé prints are present as well as square sequins which are used to create embroideries.
Accessories for women are on the smaller side, with plenty of color, and handbags are available in both matte and shiny materials. The women’s collection also features Patent leather D’orsay shoes with contrasting wrap straps in various heights and color combinations.
For men, there are double suede Weekenders with Croc trim or graphic stripe document cases in matte calf. Shoes include rail-track suede boots available in various colors.
