January 21, 2016: Luxury watchmaker, Jaeger-LeCoultre, has honored the anniversary of its iconic Reverso watch, by introducing the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon model.
The elegant new model showcases the true skill and complexity that was required in making this masterpiece with a rare Gyrotourbillon. Being 30% trimmer in both thickness and width, the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon delivers a sleek and innovative appearance.
The model, equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre manually-wound Caliber 179, performs its rotation by an external driving mechanism, allowing the Gyrotourbillon to move with an effortless floating motion. A sophisticated day/night indicator is placed at 11 o’clock, while the seconds are presented by an extraordinary graduated disc rotating at the Gyrotourbillon. A hand-crafted sunburst pattern, made with delicate and intricate precision, emphasizes the refinement of the timepiece.
The Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon features an astonishing back dial with an entirely open-worked movement. Skilled Jaeger-LeCoultre artisans have created a remarkable finish of this masterpiece with tantalizing hand-decorated bridges.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has limited the production of the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon to 75 pieces.
