May 14, 2018: An emerald focused jewelry company, House of Meraki, through access to fine gemstones from Kagem Emerald Mine, Zambia, has launched collection Impossible Love.
The new collection is inspired by the Victoria Falls in Zambia and the landscape surrounding the waterfall. Using Gemfields’ Zambian emeralds, dressed with diamonds and set in 18kt gold, each piece is deeply influenced by the flora and fauna. Seeing symmetry in asymmetry, the collection goes beyond conventional designs by combining different shapes, shades and sizes of emeralds to match the sublime equilibrium of blue and green, illustrating beautiful lakes, meadows and forests surrounding the falls.
The design inspiration blends modern and minimalistic silhouettes with European techniques, creating contemporary pieces highlighting the uniqueness of emeralds.
Gargi Rathi, Creative Director, House of Meraki, says, "It has and always will be about the stone and its journey, romantic Zambian emeralds being the central focus of the collection. House of Meraki is working to make emeralds part of the modern women’s daily attire…"
