The durability of the D-ring belt anchors the collection with a pragmatic coolness and the ‘90s favourite is now reset in sophisticated camel and cedar wrapping around the ankle. Webbing is also tricked out in linear sky blue and red. Graphic colour flows through the threads of the collection with shades of lime, rose water and red, and unique, painterly disrupted stripe leather.
In Matilda and Mischa, assertive square and open toe respectively, technicality marries craftsmanship with the nuanced sculpting of a cone heel, and the ergonomic leather weaves follow the arch of the foot. Two-tone painted raffia and glossy patent trim lacerates the ladylike connotations finished with a decorative oversized diamanté round buckle.
The collection also welcomes back the legacy logo: “I Want Choo” bandied on sandal webbing, and emblazoned on trainers, signalling a new sophistication as the global street wear slipstream continues. Thassia stands poised at 100mm in lustrous dark pink satin decorated with crystal nuggets. A strappy sandal now twisted in the modern woman’s direction. Authority and functionality combine in the Jimmy Choo Men’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection. Steve McQueen serves as muse across styles. Foxley, Jimmy Choo’s signature tassled evening loafer are reinterpreted as individually informal solo pieces that embody the spirit of Pre-Fall 18 in navy, cacao and sand denim suede as well as black, ocean and cacao mesh perforated suede. The Marti loafer features a chevron-hemmed snaffle that echoes the buckle of Jimmy Choo’s signature Lockett handbag. It is presented in an assortment of soft nappa leather and coloured suede.
Orson, the boat shoe, is presented in croc printed dry suede with a contrasting white sole. Jett elevates the trainer to an unprecedented level of luxury and design and returns for Pre-Fall 18 in combinations of soft leather and ultra-soft suede in key colours of the season of ocean, sand and ginger.
The Cash low-top sneaker has depth of texture dressed in traditional fine suede in shades of navy, ocean, spice and sand. The Oakland’s profile is slim and sleek, the sole-shape ergonomically tapering, and the colour ways fundamental and arresting.
The Reed backpack returns in seasonally on-point fabrications including woven canvas and woven nylon in black and cacao shades.
