February 5, 2016: Famed cosmetics brand Kiehl’s brings its international Limited Edition Project to India to put disadvantaged children through school with the philosophy:
Ten jars of the iconic Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. One child. One year.
Those are the simple numbers behind the New York-based skin and hair care brand Kiehl’s ongoing philanthropy initiative in India, which will send one child to the classroom for one year for the purchase of every 10 of its popular ointments.
To mark its 5th anniversary in the Indian luxury market, Kiehl’s partners with actress Neha Dhupia and Teach for India to establish Kiehl’s Gives, which marries cosmetics to education. Kiehl’s Gives carries on the global Kiehl’s Limited Edition Project, which comes to India on the heels of its international success.
Through the limited line of its Ultra Facial Cream, Kiehl’s will donate all the proceeds from the cream sales (estimated at INR 7,000,000 or around $104,000) to Teach for India, which schools underprivileged children in 7 cities across the country.
Beloved for its almost magical capacity to leave the skin softer, healthier and smoother, the Ultra Facial Cream will hit the stores in a vivid and cheerful package, specially designed for Kiehl’s Gives by Ms Dhupia and the schoolkids at Teach for India.
