Kimaya launches Kimaya Wines

March 9, 2011: From fashion to wines is an interesting diversification! Pradeep Hirani, CMD, Kimaya, Jatin Virmani, COO, Global Wines & Spirits, Marcel Theunissen, CEO Wine Affairs International along with Ben Riggs, a multi-award winning McLaren Vale winemaker have launched a range of fine wines, made and bottled with expertise in Australia, and called Kimaya Wines.

The Kimaya wines range includes Kimaya Moscato, Kimaya Chardonnay, Kimaya Shiraz & Kimaya Sparkling. Raising a toast to the occasion, Mr Hirani said, “Kimaya means ‘magic’ in Pushtu. Kimaya has been spreading its magic throughout the luxury and fashion industry since the founding of its flagship company in 2002. In lieu with its ethos of catering to the needs of the luxury and lifestyle driven sections of the society, it was natural progression for Kimaya to extend its reach to wines.”

Kimaya Chardonnay 2010 has a gripping expressive palate with fruity sweetness, green-fruit-peel notes, and subtle acidity. Kimaya Shiraz 2010 introduces fresh spices on the nose with plenty of fruit, berry jam, and currants. The finish is marked by mulberries and strawberries – light, playful, and delectable.

Kimaya Sparkling 2010 is a frizzanté style Shiraz – a rare commodity! Jammy, juicy, berry fruits, and prunes along with tad sweetness is a treat on the palate. Kimaya Moscato 2010 has a bright hue with tingling effervescence to begin with. It is super light with a good sense of balance with perfumed and floral notes – the best for someone who is not enthralled by wines yet.
