Kitsch presents Stella McCartney Spring Summer 2011 collection

April 30, 2011: Graced by a majestic white backdrop, Priya Sachdev Chatwal and Charu Sachdev unveiled the Stella McCartney Spring Summer 2011 Collection in a well-orchestrated fashion show at their store Kitsch in Mumbai. Since it’s Stella McCartney, the ramp was bound to inspire some ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the guests present!

Mumbai’s fashionistas, who were present at the show, were impressed and delighted by the collection’s delicate colour palette and diverse offerings including jackets, trousers, dresses, coats and accessories.

Confidently masculine tailored silhouettes in fresh pastels are the highlight of the collection. A delicate colour palette of rose, pistachio, fresh bergamot, lavender, wild blue and yellow sorbets appear in woven linen structures. Bold geometry plays with proportion and volume. Explosions of bold, symmetric botanical citrus prints are brought to life on the geometric shapes, appearing within the cut and construction of silk satin and rich cotton dresses for a graphic colour contrast to the pastels. Playful flashes of print reappear inserted within pleats and under collars.

An interlocking wicker weave adorns the clutch and satchel-inspired bags. Shoes with dark brown ankle straps, gold bridle detailing and low to medium rise block heels covered in natural cork, raffia or wicker, reinforce the emphasis on daywear.

Summer shopping begins with Stella McCartney this season. So head straight to Kitsch stores in Mumbai and New Delhi – the exclusive store retailing Stella McCartney creations!
