Loews Regency Hotel in New York set to open in January 2014

Loews Regency Hotel in New York

November 20, 2013: Following a massive $100 million renovation, Loews Hotels & Resorts has announced that Loews Regency Hotel in New York is now accepting reservations for stays beginning on January 16, 2014.

Making the comfort of its guests their utmost priority, the landmark hotel combines the best of design with thoughtful service, including a new restaurant and a state- of-the-art salon and spa. The redesign of the 379-room hotel will feature luxury guestrooms, 58 suites and four new private meeting spaces. Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan with an unparalleled Park Avenue address, travelers will be at ease to reach this hotel.

First opened in 1963, the highlight of the renovation is the building’s expansive 24-foot high ceiling, which will provide a grand entrance for guests, bringing New York’s energetic vibe to life. Mr Jim McPartlin, Managing Director, Loews Regency, said, “Visitors in town for both business and leisure want to stay in Midtown Manhattan, and the hotel’s comprehensive re-imagination puts everything at our guests’ fingertips. Every detail of Loews Regency is focused on enticing today’s sophisticated, urban traveler, by offering them warm, personalised service and the benefit of the perfect Park Avenue location for a true New York experience.”

Loews Regency’s new restaurant, managed by famed New York restaurateurs Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli of the Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group, together with Executive Chef Dan Silverman, will feature a menu with an emphasis on market-fresh ingredients and modern interpretations of classic dishes. Combining the old and the new, the hotel’s signature restaurant will once again reclaim its place as the pinnacle for New York ‘Power Breakfast,’ having introduced the concept in 1975.

Acclaimed celebrity hairstylist Julien Farel will debut a 10,000-square-foot beauty flagship complete with salon, spa and fitness at Loews Regency. The salon will feature 30 custom-designed stations and private rooms for VIP clients while the Julien Farel Anti-Aging Spa will offer derm-focused, anti-ageing science with traditional French techniques. Julien Farel will also launch JF Men, which will cater to men’s grooming needs.

No need to break your fitness regime during travel at the hotel’s 1,700-square-foot fitness facility where guests can use state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strengthening equipment and a medley of spin bikes and elliptical machines.

Renovated and refurbished, the hotel gleams class!
