November 6, 2015: Since 1998, Louis Vuitton has been publishing City Guides, offering a careful selection of addresses chosen with originality and just a touch of bias.
Adding to the repertoire, Louis Vuitton now has guide books for Bangkok, Chicago, Prague and Rome. Fully updated, the Paris volume is packed with new addresses, as are London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Beijing, São Paulo, Sydney, Tokyo andVenice.
Also, for the first time, a mobile App is available to complement the collection of City Guides. Easy to use, in one click you’ll be quite well-informed! The app will also offer instant updates on hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, tea rooms, stores, spas, antique shops, designers, museums, galleries. Headings are the same as in the original books, so the traveller can find the essence of the City Guides in this touchscreen version, with a special place for personal experience, snapshots of city life, detailed descriptions of places to go and a genuinely personalized approach to each city using interactive links and localisation.
To complement the new City Guide app, which is peppered with exclusive photos of the cities, Louis Vuitton has produced a small leather case with the Monogram pattern, designed to protect your iPad and iPhone. Available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the new cases come in four extra colors inspired by the city collection: blue for Paris, yellow for Rome, red for Beijing and pink for Tokyo.
The Louis Vuitton City Guide has produced a special limited edition box set. The 15 world cities featured this year are collected in a beautiful lacquered wood case in a choice of three bright colours: Bangkok blue, Rome yellow and Prague pink. It is available exclusively in Louis Vuitton stores.
